Pacific Angelshark [Squatina californica]
Description
The Pacific Angelshark is a species of angelshark, family Squatinidae, found in the eastern Pacific Ocean. It is generally found in shallow water, less than 200 m in depth. The Pacific Angelshark has a flattened body and broad pectoral fins, and is well camouflaged to blend in with sandy or muddy bottoms.
