Description
Laevicardium persicum, commonly known as the Persian cockle, is a species of marine bivalve mollusk in the family Cardiidae. It is found in the Persian Gulf and is characterized by its smooth and glossy shell that can reach up to 50 mm in size. The shell is usually white or cream-colored, often with brown or purplish-brown streaks or blotches. It typically inhabits sandy and muddy bottoms in shallow coastal waters.
