Slender mudskipper [Pseudapocryptes]

Description

Pseudapocryptes is a genus of mudskippers characterized by their elongated bodies and the capability to breathe through their skin and the lining of their mouth and throat. This adaptation allows them to inhabit intertidal habitats, often seen crawling on mudflats in mangrove forests. They are distinguished by their slender bodies compared to other mudskippers, and they can be found in the Indo-Pacific region.
