Barred Mudskipper [Periophthalmus argentilineatus]
Description
The Barred Mudskipper is a type of goby notable for its ability to live both in water and on land. It inhabits mangrove forests and mudflats of the Indo-Pacific region, from East Africa to Polynesia, and as far north as Japan. They are characterized by their barred pattern, large eyes, and the ability to change their body color to blend with their surroundings. They feed mainly on small invertebrates.
