Blue-spotted Mudskipper [Periophthalmus waltoni]
Description
The Blue-spotted Mudskipper is a species of goby found in marine and brackish waters along the coasts of the Indian Ocean, from the Persian Gulf to the Bay of Bengal. They are distinguished by a series of blue spots along their sides. They inhabit intertidal zones and mangrove forests, where they feed on small crustaceans and insects. They are capable of breathing air and can move on land using their pectoral fins.
