Anacropora [Anacropora]
Description
Anacropora is known for its slender, branching forms that somewhat resemble antlers. These corals are less common than their relatives in the genus Acropora and tend to inhabit shallower waters. Anacropora corals possess small, inconspicuous corallites and have a more fragile structure. They are found in a variety of colors and are important contributors to the biodiversity and structural complexity of coral reefs.
