Mat Anacropora Coral [Anacropora matthai]

Description
The Mat Anacropora Coral is found in the marine environment in a tropical climate. It is a species of acroporid coral found in the northern Indian Ocean, the central Indo-Pacific, Japan, the East China Sea, and the oceanic west Pacific Ocean. This species occurs in shallow reefs, and its colonies are composed of irregular, flattened branches that often fuse. Like other Anacropora species, it is threatened by climate change, coral disease, and the destruction of its coral reef habitat.
