Spearnose sole [Arnoglossus aspilos]
Description
The Spearnose sole is a species of flatfish in the family Bothidae (lefteye flounders). It is found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, specifically in the waters surrounding South Africa. This species inhabits sandy bottoms at depths ranging from 37 to 500 meters. It has a small, elongated body with both eyes on the left side of the head.
