Shortnose Greeneye [Borostomias mononema]
Description
This species is endemic to the deep-sea of the Atlantic Ocean. It is characterized by its short snout and large, green bioluminescent eyes, which it uses to detect prey in the darkness of the deep ocean. It has a slender body with a long, thin tail.
