Pizza Anemone [Cryptodendrum adhaesivum]

Description
The Pizza Anemone, also known as the Adhesive Sea Anemone, gets its common name from its large, flat oral disc which resembles a pizza crust. It has a short, squat column and tentacles that are covered in a sticky mucus. It is found in a range of colors from tan to red and it prefers to bury itself in sand or mud with only its oral disc and tentacles exposed. The Pizza Anemone is known for its ability to move quickly when disturbed.
