Description
The Olive Flounder, also known as the Japanese Flounder, is native to the northwestern Pacific Ocean. It is a commercially important species in East Asia. This species inhabits sandy and muddy sea floors in depths from 20 to 100 meters. It is a carnivorous bottom dweller, feeding on invertebrates and smaller fish. The Olive Flounder is characterized by its flat, diamond-shaped body, which is dark green to olive in color.
