New Zealand Gollumshark [Gollum suluensis]
Description
The New Zealand Gollumshark is a small, deep-water shark found off the coast of New Zealand. They are typically found at depths of 300 to 600 meters. They have a greenish-brown coloration and a long, slender body. This species is ovoviviparous, with the young feeding on unfertilized eggs and smaller siblings in the womb before birth, a process known as oophagy.
