Needle Dogfish [Centrophorus acus]
Description
The Needle Dogfish, or Centrophorus acus, is a deep-sea dogfish shark in the family Centrophoridae. They are found in the Pacific Ocean off Australia and New Zealand. They are characterized by their long, slender bodies, two dorsal fins with large spines, and lack of an anal fin. They live at depths of 275–700 meters.
