Moss Animal [Petaloproctus isis]

Description
Petaloproctus isis, also known as the Moss Animal, is a marine bryozoan species in the family Calloporidae. They are colonial animals, living in colonies that are often encrusting and flat, but can also be erect and branched. They are commonly found in the Atlantic Ocean, specifically in the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. The colonies of P. isis are typically white to light brown in color, and individual zooids are tubular and elongated.
