Terebellida [Terebellida]
Description
Terebellida, or spaghetti worms, are distinguished by their numerous long, slender tentacles which resemble spaghetti. These tentacles are used for gathering food particles from the surrounding sediment. Terebellids are mostly sedentary, living within burrows or tubes made from mud, sand, and shell fragments.
