Description

Petaloproctus is a genus within the family Pectinariidae, characterized by their distinctive tube-building behavior, using sand and shell fragments. Unlike some of their relatives, Petaloproctus species have a narrower range of tube shapes and sizes. These worms have a segmented body with a well-developed head, equipped with feeding and sensory appendages.
