Mediterranean scaldfish [Arnoglossus laterna]
Description
The Mediterranean scaldfish is a species of flatfish in the family Bothidae. It is found in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, usually inhabiting sandy or muddy bottoms at depths of 10 to 150 meters. This species has a small head and a large, flat body, with both eyes on the left side.
