Description

The Maxima Clam is commonly found in the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, and Pacific Ocean. They prefer the shallow waters of coral reefs. Their shells are elongated and somewhat narrow. Their coloration varies, ranging from blue, green, brown, purple, gold, and even black. They are known for their striking color patterns. Similar to the Blue Squamosa Clam, they are filter feeders and host zooxanthellae.
