Indian halibut [Pseudorhombus elevatus]
Description
Also known as the Indian Large-tooth flounder, it is found in the Eastern Indian Ocean, primarily off the coast of India and Sri Lanka. It resides in shallow coastal waters with sandy or muddy bottoms. It has a large flat body with a diamond shape and a large mouth with sharply pointed teeth. This species has a distinctive pattern with dark blotches.
