Hogchoker [Trinectes maculatus]
Description
The Hogchoker is a flatfish found in brackish and freshwater habitats along the Atlantic coast of North and Central America. It has a diamond-shaped body with a small head and a large mouth. The color varies from brown to olive, with darker blotches and specks on the upper side. It feeds on small invertebrates and can reach a maximum length of about 15 cm.
