Great Hammerhead [Sphyrna mokarran]
Description
Great Hammerhead is the largest species in the Hammerhead shark genus, reaching up to 6 meters in length. It is distinguished by a straight, T-shaped head and a tall, sickle-shaped dorsal fin. They are coastal-pelagic species found over continental and insular shelves, and adjacent deep waters. They are solitary, strong swimmers known for their highly migratory nature.
