Granular Dogfish [Centroscyllium granulatum]
Description
The Granular Dogfish is a species of shark in the family Etmopteridae. It can be found in the western Pacific Ocean off Japan and possibly Taiwan. Little is known about its behavior but it's a deepwater species, inhabiting depths of 200 to 500 meters. The primary distinguishing feature of this species is its granular skin, from which it gets its name.
