Description
The Gold-mouthed Pectinaria, or Pectinaria auricoma, is another species of polychaete worm, found in the Atlantic Ocean. It is known for its distinctive golden ‘mouth’ – a circular opening ringed with golden setae, or bristles. It inhabits muddy and sandy bottoms, often creating burrows. Its diet primarily consists of organic detritus.
