Description
The Giant Keyhole Limpet, also known as Megathura crenulata, is a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Fissurellidae. It is native to the coastal waters of California and Baja California, residing in rocky subtidal areas where it feeds on various types of algae. This species is known for its large size, reaching up to 13 cm in length, and its unique keyhole-shaped opening, or 'apical orifice', at the top of its shell.
