Also known as the Big Red Jellyfish, Bargmannia elongata is a species of deep-sea jellyfish belonging to the family Rhopalonematidae. This species is often found in the Pacific Ocean, particularly around Japan and California. It is known for its large, elongated body that can reach lengths of up to 30 feet. The Big Red Jellyfish is characterized by its red color and the presence of numerous, thin tentacles, which it uses to capture prey. It is a deep-sea species, typically found at depths of 600 to 1,500 meters.
