Atlantic Slipper Limpet [Crepidula plana]

Description
The Atlantic Slipper Limpet is a small to medium-sized marine gastropod that inhabits the Atlantic coast of North America from Labrador to Florida. The shell is smooth, flat and oval, often light brown to grey in color. This species is typically found in clusters on hard substrates such as rocks and shells. Similar to other slipper limpets, they also demonstrate sequential hermaphroditism.
