Asian clam [Laternula truncata]

Description
Laternula truncata, commonly known as the Asian clam, is a species of marine bivalve mollusc in the family Laternulidae. It is native to the Indo-Pacific region. The Asian clam can reach a size of 60 millimeters. It has a solid, oval shell that is brownish or olive-green in color. The Asian clam is a filter feeder and burrows in soft substrates.
