Large-tooth flounder [Pseudorhombus arsius]

Description

A species of large-tooth flounder that is found in the Indo-West Pacific, from the Persian Gulf to Indonesia and north to China. It prefers sandy or muddy bottoms in coastal waters and estuaries. It has a flattened body which is adapted for life on the sea bed and is diamond-shaped. This species is characterized by its large mouth with large, sharp, pointed teeth.
