Squaretail flathead [Laeops parviceps]

Description

Laeops parviceps, commonly known as the squaretail flathead, is found in the Eastern Indian Ocean, specifically in the waters of Western Australia. It has a unique square tail and a relatively small head, hence the name 'parviceps'. It lives in shallow waters and is known for its bottom-dwelling behavior. It has a slender body and a distinct color pattern of light and dark bands.
