Deepwater flathead [Laeops kitaharae]

Description

The deepwater flathead, Laeops kitaharae, is a marine flathead fish species that resides in the Western Central Pacific Ocean. It can be found in the depths of 200 to 400 meters. This species is characterized by its elongated body, large mouth and head, and the relative absence of scales. It has a tan color with brownish mottling.
