White Sea Mat [Petaloproctus socialis]

Description
Petaloproctus socialis, or the White Sea Mat, is another species in the genus Petaloproctus. This marine bryozoan species is typically found in the Indian Ocean, particularly in the waters around Madagascar. Like other species in the genus, P. socialis forms colonies, but these are typically more robust and have larger zooids. The colonies are usually white to pale yellow in color, and individual zooids have a distinct, somewhat rectangular shape.
