Description
Vulsella perlucens, also known as the Pearl Vulsella, is a marine bivalve mollusk in the family Vulsellidae. It is characterized by its elongated, thin shell that is pearly white in color. The shell is often marked with irregular growth lines. This species is native to the Western Atlantic, ranging from the Gulf of Mexico to the Caribbean Sea. It typically inhabits hard substrates such as rock or coral, and can be found at depths ranging from 5 to 30 meters. Like other members of its genus, Vulsella perlucens is a filter feeder.
