Description
Bostrychus is a genus of fish in the family Eleotridae, commonly referred to as sleeper gobies. These fish are found in marine, brackish, and freshwater environments across the Indo-Pacific region. They are characterized by their elongated bodies, large mouths, and the ability to breathe air, allowing some species to survive in oxygen-poor water. They are benthic, often found resting on or burrowing in soft substrates.
