Description
Nebrius is a genus of sharks in the family Ginglymostomatidae, known as the short-tail nurse sharks. This genus is distinguished by its shorter tail fin compared to other nurse sharks, and a more robust body. The most well-known species within this genus is Nebrius ferrugineus, the tawny nurse shark, which inhabits the Indo-Pacific region. They are nocturnal predators, feeding on a variety of marine organisms, and are known to be relatively docile towards humans.
