Nurse Sharks [Ginglymostomatidae]
Description
Ginglymostomatidae, known as nurse sharks, are bottom-dwelling sharks found in warm, shallow waters of the western Atlantic and eastern Pacific oceans. They have barbels (whisker-like sensory organs) near their mouths, which they use to search the seafloor for prey. Nurse sharks are nocturnal and often rest in groups during the day.
