Description
Within the same genus as the seahorses, Hippocampus also includes species known as short-snouted seahorses. These seahorses tend to have shorter snouts in comparison to their relatives, enabling them to feed on prey in closer proximity. They share similar habitats and reproductive behaviors with other seahorses.
