Haloceratia [Haloceratia]

Description
Haloceratia, another genus within the Fraginae family, comprises species of bivalves that are less commonly known than their Fragum counterparts. These clams possess robust, often more rounded shells compared to the typically delicate shells of Fragum. They are found in a variety of marine environments, from shallow coastal waters to deeper offshore areas. Haloceratia species are adapted to burrowing into soft substrates where they lead a sedentary life, feeding on suspended particles in the water. Their ability to burrow and live at greater depths differentiates them from many other members of the Fraginae family.
