Description

Limnoperna is a genus of freshwater and brackish water mussels that has adapted to a wide range of environments, including estuaries and rivers. Limnoperna mussels are known for their rapid colonization and biofouling capabilities, often attaching to man-made structures and becoming invasive outside their native range.
