Description

Atlantoraja is a genus within the Arhynchobatidae family, distinguished by their unique skeletal features, including fenestrae (openings) in their skulls and specific vertebral characteristics. These skates inhabit the southwestern Atlantic Ocean, primarily off the coasts of South America. They are benthic, living close to the seabed, and feed on a variety of benthic organisms.
