Description

Cyclopsetta is a genus of flatfishes found in the Americas, known as banded flounders. These species inhabit sandy and muddy bottoms in marine environments, often found at depths ranging from shallow coastal waters to deeper offshore areas. They are characterized by their oval bodies, eyes on the left side, and distinctive color patterns that include bands or spots, aiding in camouflage on the ocean floor.
