Description

Achiroides is a genus of soles native to the Indo-West Pacific region. These fishes are characterized by their elongated bodies, small eyes, and the ability to blend into sandy or muddy bottoms thanks to their coloration. They are benthic, living on or near the sea floor, and feed on small invertebrates.
