White Bonnet Anemonefish [Amphiprion leucokranos]
Description
The White Bonnet Anemonefish, a hybrid species, is recognized by its orange to brownish color with a white cap over the top of its head, hence the name 'White Bonnet'. The species is found in the waters of the western Pacific, particularly around Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. The White Bonnet Anemonefish, like its skunk clownfish counterparts, forms a symbiotic relationship with sea anemones. It is a protandrous hermaphrodite and lives in small groups with a strict dominance hierarchy.
