Description

The Odontaspididae family, commonly known as sand tiger sharks, comprises large, coastal shark species. They have a unique reproduction method called ovoviviparity, where the embryo develops inside eggs that are retained within the female's body until they hatch. Sand tiger sharks are known for their buoyancy control abilities, allowing them to float motionless in the water.
