Blind Sharks [Brachaeluridae]
Description
Brachaeluridae, or blind sharks, are small, nocturnal sharks found off the eastern coast of Australia. Despite their name, they are not blind but have this moniker due to their tendency to shut their eyes when taken out of the water. They prefer shallow, rocky environments and are often found in tide pools.
