Yellowfin sole [Limanda aspera]
Description
The yellowfin sole is a species of flounder, native to the North Pacific. It is commonly found in the Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska. It is a demersal fish that lives on sandy and muddy bottoms at depths of up to 400 meters. It can grow up to 60 cm in length, and is distinguished by its yellowish fins and rough, sandpapery skin.
