Description

The Wolftrap anglerfish, or Lasiognathus dinema, is a species of anglerfish found in the Gulf of Mexico. It is a deep-sea creature known for its unique, wolftrap-like lure that it uses to attract prey. The females of this species are larger than the males and have a large head with a wide mouth filled with sharp teeth. They are characterized by a long, slender body.
