Description
The Warty Sea Slater, or Pentidotea wosnesenskii, is a marine isopod residing in the Pacific Ocean, from Alaska to Baja California. It can be found in shallow waters, especially in eelgrass beds and among seaweed. Its body is flat with a greenish-brown color for perfect camouflage in its habitat. This species is known for its warty appearance due to small bumps on the surface of its exoskeleton. The Warty Sea Slater is primarily herbivorous, feeding on algae and other plant material.
