Description
Lamellibrachia barhami is a species of tubeworm that inhabits deep sea environments, particularly hydrothermal vents and cold seeps, along the Pacific coast from California to Costa Rica. It has a mutualistic relationship with sulfur-oxidizing bacteria, which live in a specialized organ in the worm's body and provide nutrients for the worm.
