Description
This species, also known as the Venus Flytrap Sea Anemone, resides in the deep sea. It is characterized by its unique method of capturing prey where it closes its tentacles around its food, similar to how a Venus Flytrap would. This anemone lives anchored to the substrate and can be found at depths between 200 and 1000 meters. It is commonly found in the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
