Deep Sea Anemone [Isodactylactis]

Description

Isodactylactis is a genus within the Edwardsiidae family, comprising species that inhabit deeper marine environments compared to their relatives. These anemones are adapted to life in the deep sea, exhibiting features that enable them to withstand high pressure and low light conditions. Isodactylactis species are recognized for their robust and often larger body size, which assists in their survival in the challenging conditions of the deep sea. They are benthic organisms, living attached to or near the ocean floor, where they feed on small invertebrates and detritus captured with their tentacles.
